Last night while protecting one million attendees in Time Square, a rookie cop, being their first day on the job, was slashed in the head by a domestic terrorist, causing a severe skull fracture. Two other officers were injured from this incident, less than 2 hours before we rung in the new year. The terrorist was shot by other officers on scene, but will survive.
The assailant was attempting to smuggle the machete into Time Square, but his plot was foiled when he saw the immense security, screening everyone as they entered. Who knows how many innocent lives were saved because of the actions of these officers.

Good job for keeping our fellow Americans safe. Sending well wishes for complete recovery of the injured officer. β€οΈ
I love cops so Mach they are good people
New cop get Attacked I ever see something that before
Found who ever did this and make sure the person is locked up what he it was wrong π cops away get treated it that not okay they get family
Cops are the real hero
And this happens that is sad bad people don't not care if you new in the police department they still beat you up that need to stop
Our law enforcement officers continue to face skyrocketing crime due to bad laws passed by unsupportive politicians and are demonized by the mainstream media. This as they still have to deal with the continued threats from those who hate our way of life. We must do better as a society to protect our law enforcement and restore safety to our streets!
I pay for the new cops to be okay and this family too this so mass up
